Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 11, 2026

DrawBuddies collects no personal information — from children or adults — whatsoever. No accounts, no logins, no servers watching what you do.

The short version

DrawBuddies is built privacy-first for kids. There are no accounts to create, nothing to log in to, and no servers collecting your behavior. Because we don't collect data in the first place, the app is inherently compliant with children's privacy regulations like COPPA and GDPR-K.

What we don't collect

DrawBuddies does not gather any of the following:

Your drawings stay on your device

Everything a child makes in DrawBuddies is stored only on that device. A drawing leaves the device only if a parent or guardian deliberately shares it using iOS's standard sharing tools (AirDrop, Messages, email, Save to Photos, and so on). DrawBuddies never uploads or transmits artwork on its own.

Together mode

Together mode lets nearby devices draw on a shared canvas. It uses Apple's Multipeer Connectivity framework to connect devices directly over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth — never through the internet or any server. All communication is end-to-end encrypted, so only devices that are physically nearby and joined to the same session can see the shared canvas. No names are entered or shared; each device is given a fun generated name like "Blue Rabbit."

Built for child safety

Sharing artwork and opening any external link are protected behind a parental gate — a grown-up must press and hold to unlock them. This keeps young children from sharing or navigating away on their own, in line with COPPA requirements.

No third-party tracking

DrawBuddies contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs, and no tracking frameworks. The only networking technology in the app is Apple's built-in local connectivity used for Together mode.
